The Kibo is a revolutionary new motorbike brand designed in Holland, made in Kenya, and specifically built for Africa’s tough roads. The K250 is Kibo’s newest and most powerful bike yet. It has more range, more ground clearance – and more style. The K250 has a very stable and secure feel to it. It is certainly one of the most reliable bikes that you will find for these latitudes. No better way to explore Kenya and East Africa, than on the premium Kenyan motorcycle.
What do hardcore adventure riders need? A tall bike with good ground clearance, long suspension travel to soak up the bumps, a modern engine, some weather protection, low weight… This is what the Rally is, and much more:
Medium to advanced riders will love it!
Note: Beginners may be better suited to our Kibo K250. Feel free to check both models for size at our facility.
The KTM 390 Adventure is an incredibly fun bike. It’s very easy to ride and it’s entertaining to rev the nuts of this small monocylinder. Apart from it being a great adventure bike, I think it’s an ideal city bike as well: it’s high, the riding position is straight up and it’s very agile. You get a wonderful range from its 14L tank and a host of features like ABS and MC controls.
The Tekken 250 is like your no-nonsense adventure buddy — rugged, ready, and always up for whatever road (or lack of road) comes next. But where it really shines is on the tarmac, gliding through traffic with a smoother ride and more road-friendly comfort than the Kibo 250. With its lower center of gravity and better street handling, it’s perfect for daily commutes, weekend getaways, and zipping around town. It’s not trying to be fancy — it’s trying to get you to the top of that hill, the back of that forest, or just home after a wild day, without rattling your bones. Tough, cheap to run, and built for real-world city chaos, the Tekken 250 is basically a two-wheeled ticket to freedom — with more road confidence than most bikes in its class.
The Boxer X150 is one of the most common Boda Boda bikes that you see around town and for good reason. The boxer is durable, fuel-efficient, and has decent acceleration for a 150cc motorcycle. It is popular with the Boda Boda guys also, because you can comfortably take it into the hinterland and cruise through nearly any type of pebble or dirt road patch. If you are looking for a convenient, affordable form of transport that is ideal for Nairobi traffic, and also provides you with the flexibility to escape the city on weekends to head to e.g. Naivasha, then this is your pick – and if you feel like making some extra cash, you can even take some pedestrians for a ride, in any case they may be waving you over to stop from time to time thinking you are another Boda rider.
To ride the Wego around town takes intact self-confidence or at least a bit of an “I don’t give a f… attitude”: This is because when riding this bike you are likely to rack up some curious views; scooters in Kenya are generally viewed as being unsuitable for the “cool” riders. But if you can get over the negative glam factor of this bike, you will enjoy it! It is almost as quick at accelerating as the Boxer, and can reach 80 km/h on good roads. It has a handy compartment for storage, its size makes it ideal for weaving through traffic and, most importantly, you do not get as wet when it’s raining – as your feet are tucked in on the inside of the vehicle. While the Wego is a decent companion on flooded roads, it is far from ideal for the more off-road type experience, this is a Nairobi-only vehicle.
Driving the Prado J120 V6 feels like piloting a smooth beast — it’s got the muscle to conquer rough roads without ever making a fuss. The V6 petrol engine growls just enough to remind you it’s there, but the ride stays buttery and composed, whether you’re cruising through city traffic or eating up dusty backroads. You sit high, feel unbothered by potholes, and there’s this quiet confidence it gives you — like, “Yeah, I could drive to Namibia if I felt like it.” It’s not a sports car, but it’s solid, spacious, and weirdly satisfying to just float through bad terrain like it doesn’t exist.
Arrangements for the accessories and gear will be made after the booking of the rental bike.
